A View of Daily Life

東京駅丸の内口から皇居前に伸びる行幸通りの地下道ギャラリーでAP通信の「A View of Daily Life〜世界五大陸の日常風景」と出した写真の展示が行われている。AP通信スタッフカメラマンやフリーランスのカメラマンが世界各地で撮影した写真を展示。通常の報道写真とひと味違った日常スナップが楽しめる。会期は４月２２日まで、無料公開。

特にわたしの目をひいたのは「Handmade Swing（手作りのブランコ）」と題したパキスタンで撮られたアフガン難民の子どもたちの写真＝写真上＝と、インド・スーフィー教徒のウルス祭で撮影された「Holy Cloth（聖なる布）」＝写真下＝の２枚。写真説明とカメラマンのコメントは日英両方で表記されている。

Holy Cloth
An Indian woman carries her child and walks under a chadar, or a holy cloth, at the shrine of KhawJa Moinuddin Chishti during the Urs festival in Ajmer, India. Thousands of Sufi devotees in from different parts of India travel to the shrine for the annual festival, marking the death anniversary of Sufi Muslim saint, Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti.
